Look, we hear it constantly how everyone prioritizes the use of local, organic, seasonal produce, meat and dairy… and I’m here to say, I partake in the exact same prioritization and glad that we’re all in the same boat. Even as a poor, party-ridden college student, you would only find me shopping at the local co-op and Saturday morning farmer’s market, filling my kitchen with the beautiful, fresh bounty of Northern, CA. Which is where my true love for cooking and feeding loved ones all started.
With previous experience of working at ranches from Wyoming to Australia to here in Marin & Sonoma counties, as well as obtaining an agriculture degree in college, I have a genuine understanding of our food systems and the importance of sustainability. With that and a sincere love of cooking and hosting, I started Gardner & Kitchen to pursue a creative passion of bringing good food to my community and the enjoyments around the dinner table.
As a self-taught chef, I love to tap into many cuisines and continue to learn new dishes and techniques. Much of my cooking is inspired by CA, Mediterranean & Middle Eastern flavors. Striving for healthy yet comforting, simple yet flavorful.
Food and cooking truly is a labor and act of love. There’s no better feeling than watching a group of family & friends pour over a feast of carefully crafted dishes and hear all the laughter and joy with each bite of food - the simple moments that are to be cherished in this wild thing we call life.
When I’m not cooking for clients, you can find me riding my horse, adventuring with my boyfriend and our dog, tending to my fabulous garden, hosting in said fabulous garden, photography, thrifting, winter mushroom foraging, spending quality time with friends & family, and of course, playing around in the kitchen & eating damn good food.
With all that being said… I would love for you to experience the same joy eating my food, as I do making it.
